The following benefits are provided for all members of the NFBPA in good standing by virtue of membership in the national organization. Additional benefits are also attained as part of your participation in the North Texas Chapter. The National membership fee is $175, while the local
chapter assessment is $25.

Indvidual Membership & Business Membership

The National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) is proud to offer the following services and programs to meet the management and professional development needs of its national membership.

Membership in the National Network provides:

   
  • The opportunity to participate in a vibrant, national network of the nation's most respected Black public professionals and a unique forum in which to exchange management innovations, professional development techniques and skills-building strategies. Many of NFBPA's seminars, workshops and training programs are eligible for interested participants to receive Continuing Education Credits.
  • Membership Card and Lapel Pin: Carry the card and wear the pin to let colleagues know of your involvement in the nation's premier association of Black leadership.
  • National Membership Directory: An invaluable tool for networking with peers in public management, the directory contains an alphabetized listing of the association's membership. The Directory is also available in a state rosters format.
  • Subscription to THE FORUM Newsletter: NFBPA's informative and widely read quarterly publication. Look to THE FORUM for practical advice on professional development and insight on social and economic concerns impacting the Black community.
  • Career Link: As a member, you will enjoy a monthly Jobs Publication and a toll-free access to an up-to-date listing of public management opportunities in municipal, county and state agencies.
  • Discounts on Car Rentals: Discounts are available at Avis and Alamo Rent-A-Car agencies.
  • Bridges Summer Internship Program: Students aspiring to public service careers are provided practical exposures to state and local government operations through summer internships in public agencies
  • Scholarships: Full-time student members are eligible to apply for scholarships to attend the NFBPA Annual Conference.
  • Local and Regional Chapters: The NFBPA provides opportunity to associate with or develop Local or Regional Chapters of the NFBPA.
  • Participation in NFBPA Task Forces, Advisory Councils and Constituent Groups: Links you with peers from across the country in cooperative forums to address critical issues.
